    Jack Weaver Has Passed Away

    Former Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy, Jack Weaver, inventor of the Weaver Stance, passed away on April 7th, in Carson City, Nevada, at the age of 80.

    Jack was an original member of the Leatherslap Five, the group made up of Colonel Jeff Cooper, Ray Chapman, Eldon Carl and Thell Reed, the pioneers of modern combat shooting. Reed is the sole surviving member of the group.

    R.I.P., Jack, you will be missed.

    One of the last true Combat Masters......I had the pleasure of meeting him once, he was a very gracious and humble man.
