    Good deal
Its nice to hear about good things happening to good people.
Zoe: "Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing?

Book: "Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps."

    Happy Anniversary!
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

It's just so awesome when it really does work... I know I'm blessed, and it sounds like you are too... congratulations...

Every year we celebrate a Marriage Covenant Renewal at church, on the Sunday closest to Valentine's Day. I invite people to renew their vows, and we put up 'before and after' slides on the screen, with dates of marriage. It is great to see the 'today' pictures, then try to figure out who it is, until the wedding day pictures are shown.

It thrills me every year when I show teens and young adults couples who have been married 60, 70 years, or more. One year, we had a couple celebrate 75 years of marriage. He was 96 and she was 94. He played golf every day, and shot his age.

    Here's my best advice...

    1. I told my wife years ago, "If you ever leave me, I'm going with you."
    2. Fight fair.
    3. Fight naked.

    '76 was a great year.

And, as an added bonus, I always know how old America is.

My no. of years married, plus 200.

    Congratulations!!!

When a relationship becomes a life long deal, it can be very good.

    Here's hoping for another 33.
