Beings it is a "agriculture" environment, I am not sure farmers are required to have workers comp. Farmers fall under some strange laws in NE.
An ounce of lead is worth 200lbs of cop.
I don't know about workman's comp, but I've been told they are required to have special insurance just for instances like these

Wanted to update you guys (and gals) who may be interested. Jake has been taken off his IVs and is making great progress. The dr's are even considering sending him home after this week. OSHA cannot do anything about the accident because the farm has less than 10 employees. They are talking to lawyers today or tomorrow and have agreed that $10 million is what they are going to ask for.
All in all, he's doing remarkably well. He's in very high spirits and phsyically healing quickly the dr's say.
