By the way, when they inject the chemicals, you'll feel all warm and glowy, and then you feel like you just wet your pants. I kid you not. Strangest darn feeling..........at least that's the way it was 18 years ago.

    Good luck!
    Maybe you did.

God bless you. We went through this with my wife and everything was fine. The quality of medicine today is way above where it was 5 years ago. You are going to be allright. Mental attitude is the key.

Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Ha, ha... not laughing at you, just remembering mine.

The drugs they gave me , dont' work on me. I told them that several times and they didn't believe me. They even gave me a full blast a 2nd time, determined that they would work. So... they found out and I was not out nor even dulled as they wanted me. They have no effect on me. Interesting to see that wire in the heart on the screen, and then realize ... "oh @#$@#l.... that's my heart ".... then came the dye.... that was really interesting. All went well.

Good luck, prayers on the way all comes out OK.

My wife brought me to the hospital ER yesterday morning with chest pains. They can't confirm or deny that I had a heart attack, but there is concern because my enzymes and other blood chemicals were elevated. Plans are to do a heart cath Monday morning and if there is blockage then they will do either a stint or balloon. Hope to be home on Tuesday. I'll post a follow up ASAP.

Orangevol: I just read your post. By now you are resting and everything went well. I'll still keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery and no return visits. Alanna

I'm back home today and other than being tired of laying in a hospital bed for 4 days, I feel great. Thanks to all for your prayers and well wishes!!!

I had the heart cath yesterday morning and they found 4 blocked arteries, one 99%, one 60% and two at 30%. They put stints in the 99 & 60 and will treat the 30%'ers with meds.

This was my 1st time, and was a little aprehensive because I almost lost my dad last year when another Dr punctured his artery doing a cath and he almost bled to death. Thank God I had no issues and now just have to adjust my lifestyle to eat healthier and take better care of myself, (hard to do with so many good BBQ and fried catfish places here in the Memphis area).
