    American Soldiers ARE NOT Heroes

Got your attention huh? Me too made me sick. There is a page on Face-Book Soldiers ARE NOT Heroes
These pansy low life ungrateful pack of pukes who undoubtedly have never done anything of service for anyone other than themselves have nothing better to do than to create this disgusting webpage and post vile disgusting trash. Most all of it based upon pure unadulterated crap they get off of TV and are lazy or stupid to investigate. There is a movement to try and get FaceBook to take this page down. Petition to remove "Soldiers are not heroes" from facebook You of course are invited to join that petition. That said I do not support trying to compel Face-book to take it down, as that would be suppressing a Constitutional right that our heroes are fighting to preserve even while their service to our nation is being demeaned by these ignorant ingrates. These maggots like nazi, the KKK, AL Shartpton and Jesse Jackson have a constitutional right to have their say. Instead lets spread the word so that the voice of grateful Americans and patriots who understand the debt of gratitude we all owe our warriors can go there and overwhelm these few pathetic self serving pansy lying scumbags with the truth. Lets turn this into a We Appreciate Our Heroes page by virtue of the content we place there. Just follow the link join the group and let these jerks know how you feel. Lets try to be civil and not come off as ignorant red necks which is how I am sure they will try to paint us. Thanks

Wow, that group pretty much makes me want to vomit. I know that the guys in my platoon don't like seeing the word hero thrown around, and don't like it applied to themselves. There is a job for infantry Marines to do, and we do it, that's it.

The members of this group are entitled to their opinion, just as we are to our opinions. But the reason people are entitled to their opinions shouldn't be forgotten.

Actually, the government cannot make them take the web page down.

Facebook, and it's users, are absolutely allowed to force the removal of that page.

That is a courageous position on your part Long Rider, but see my next comment....

as that would be suppressing a Constitutional right

No constitutional right is involved. Just as Bumper controls content here and has every right to delete stuff he doesn't want up, the owners of Facebook may control content as they so wish.

I'm not a Facebook user, but were I, my vote would be to let people make fools of themselves. We need to see the rantings of nut-jobs in order to understand that they exist amongst us. If we limit their ability to get the message out, they become a hidden radicalized group. If we let them vent, they dwindle in numbers and disappear because most folks have better sense.

That is true for the fools on the extremes of both ends of the political spectrum, because most Americans are rather moderate centrists on average.

I joined the petition group. I'll happily trample upon moronic anti-soldier propaganda, given the legal opportunity.

They claim to not be an anti-soldier group, but their every agrument is that soldiers are not heroes because___________(enter negative news story here). To some extent, I could let them be if they were trying to say that soldiers are just people doing their jobs for pay...but, they instead use that halloween picture as a logo, and bash soldier on the site (another thing I don't understand...why do these kind of people cling to that pictue as a symbol of how terrible American torture methods are? I think it shows us to be relatively compassionate, compared with what real torture is).

Hello, Man I can't believe theres a group on face book that would even put that up. That makes me want to puke and crap all over those liberals. The Soldiers are my heros. I have a daughter that's a US Marine. She's my main hero but all the others are up there with her. God Bless Our Soldiers.

    You know.

I'm all for letting it stay up.

Let them show themselves for what they really are.

The VAST MAJORITY of Americans that matter all know that our military folks are heroes.

Let all the maggots migrate to that one spot on the Internet.

There will always a certain minute tiny fraction of cowardly, yellow-bellied, spineless, log-headed, infantile, useless, ungrateful, selfish, spoiled, know nothing moronic tchitheads with warped thought processes that will believe what they want to believe.

That will draw them all there like a maggot magnet and hopefully they will all just stay there and whine and gripe and continue to delude themselves.

Our constitution gives these liberal pukes the right of free speech. We may not like what they have to say, but they have the right to say it.

    God bless our military.

You are correct I miss spoke. Taking it down is more a violation of the spirit of 1A. FaceBook unlike DC is an open social network. More geared to the free exchange of ideas on an infinite number of topics. As distasteful as those pages are we agree that they should be allowed to stay up for all the reasons expressed here by you and others. My only hope is that others respond expressing their support our warriors. If for no other reason than that should a soldier run across it he or she will see that there are folks who do support them and appreciate the sacrifice they are making on our behalf.
I could be wrong but I imagine thousands of miles away from home giving all you have to offer and than seeing your service being denigrated like this has to be disheartening. No doubt they can deal with it and get over it. They deal with far worst but why should they have to? When we can turn it around and maybe make it a bright spot in their day. Let them know that while they are fighting for us, we in a very small way are standing up for them

Maybe, there will be a time when their life depends on a soldiers to rescue them.

These guys on FB are complete morons and I put them into the same category as that church that goes around to soldiers funerals and spread their hatred...

I am getting myself totally pissed now.

mi2az, I'm hoping that there will be a time when their life depends on a soldier. But let me say this.. if the soldiers actually knew who this scum was. I wouldn't count on them getting any protection..
