I'm in the same boat with my son. Doc says this one has been hanging on for 6-10 days. We're in day 5.
Praying for you and yours with that kind of first hand empathy.

Sorry to hear you guys got it too. Almost my entire family has had it lately. Some of the kids brought it home from school and I got it and soon after so did my wife. What I noticed was it affects everyone in odd ways. Some parts I got really bad but the fever stayed around 100*. All in all I'd say I was sick for 2 weeks. Hope everyone gets well soon.
By the way, everyone went to the Dr's and noone in the entire family was given any meds. Advil was to be taken and lots of fluids.
Prayin' for you and your daughter Pro... go see the Dr. too bro, you could also have a secondary bacterial infection!
Take care of you and your daughter, hope you both get better quick...Prayers sent for you and your entire family...
Gee... some of you actually got Tamiflu. Around here, you'ld have to be "the President" before you'ld get prescribed any tamiflu.
Our Ped. says that they only prescribe Tamiflu if they catch the flu in the first two days.
The trick on this flu is to make sure it doesn't develop into pneumonia. Watch shallow breathing.
There is a shortage of shots here in NYS for the regular flu shots as well as the swine flu shots, Who know's when they will be available for senior citizen's & people in high risk with diabeties etc. guess we can blame Obama & our Gov here in NYS.
May God bless her, and may she recover quickly!

Still went to work, like a dummy. Or like I always do...
Wasn't aware it was what it was until I started to research it. Should have went to the doctor...
Still not at 100%
It IS scary stuff. My wife just got over it...she was down and out for 10 days. Luckily my daughter and I dodged the bullet...so to speak.
Hopefully she is better by now, but I'll add this to my DC list.:hand10:
Got the regular Flu shot 2 months ago.
A few weeks ago:
Friday night--- Hmmm was having dinner with visiting guests and noticed that my hair hurt..:frown:. Temperature was at 101..Started aspirin and Tylenol every 4 hours along with expectorant to prevent possible chest congestion. Typical Flu onset..Hits like a freight train.(fast and furious)
Saturday AM--- Guests fled back to Long Island to avoid the plague. Kept fever down with alternate aspirin / Tylenol doses, increased fluids and continued with expectorant.. Fever was kept to about 100 but whole body aches and bouts of shivers increased.
Sunday---Fever stayed the same but aches/pains and shivers continued throughout the day. Wife woke me up at 3AM because the bed was shaking.:hand1: I slept through the alarm that was set for a 2AM dose of aspirin. Shivered for an hour till the fever went down.
Monday---Fever stayed at 99 but aches and pains peaked, UGHHH.
Tuesday---98.6 and I was starting to feel human again.
Wednesday---Aches and pains were almost gone but felt weak.
Thursday---Tired but otherwise back to normal.
In summation: No worse than what I remember the regular Flu to be, but it has been 15 years since I had it last. (flu shots).
Doctor said to get the H1N1 shot anyway.. Got it once I was totally back to normal, felt tired for 24 hours after getting it.
Treat the symptoms as soon as you can.. Rest as much as possible and try to prevent any complications from setting in..
OMHO.
