Prayer for Dad
Dad is 91 and is the original Country Boy! He continues to Deer hunt with me each year. But today was a rough day for him as we had to call for the ambulance to come take him to the hospital.
My Daughter and Grandchildren live with Dad which helps me a great deal. Stephanie called me before 6 AM this morning! He was telling her if her turned loose of the walker, he was going to fall. She got him settled and got him something to eat. When he finished he started back to his room and made it as far a the entrance but could walk no further. She helped him to the bed by basically man handling him. The Ambulance personel said vitals were ok but of course took him on and he stayed in the ER quite some time. They finally admitted him and he is now on antibiotics.
Folks his feet and half way to the knee on both legs are beet red and very feverish. He has Flebitus (however you spell it) but has never had anything like this before to extent he has no strength in his legs. Anyway we sure would appreciate your prayers. He just kept saying, "I was going to work outside all day today"! So he is rather discouraged and I don't know what we will do if this were to deteriate into something where he would not walk again.
Thanks for being a praying forum as much as any other function and discussion here at DC. Thank you for reading this and also your thoughts and Prayers for Pop!

Prayers done. I was expecting you to say that he had cellulitis in both legs, given the bilateral presentation. The antibiotics tend to support that. Phlebitis is usually only on 1 place at a time, and isn't treated by antibiotics. He most likely has both.
Prayers have been sent.

Boze,
You got my prayers.
What a blessing that your dad has you and your daughter to help out. I imagine he knows just how blessed he is.

Thanks to all you folks for your prayers.
Squawker you are correct, it is the Cellulitis that he has and I must have had a Senior moment when I was posting. The legs were to the point yesterday that He just could not stand up! PT is coming today to see what they can do with where he is and if he can even stand! Anyway thanks again so very much for the thoughts and the prayers.
