Everything happens for a reason, I do think. My prospective donor's kidney was an excellent match, but in the course of testing, they discovered that he may have Type 2 Diabetes. He would not have known, if he had not offered to donate. Now, he will have a chance to change his lifestyle and diet much earlier than most. That is a good thing. I think things worked out for the best.

Fate/destiny Tom - one of those things that can open doors, close doors and by the strangest of circumstances change things quite dramatically.

This was a blessing of course for the donor guy - but a blow for you right now. It is to be hoped another opportunity will present for you - once more, who knows what fate can deliver - sometimes from the least expected quarter.

    Tom

    Ditto: Chris

    BTW:
Every single time that I scan the forum & see a Tom357 post I give a thought and quick hope that all eventually works out great for you.

My honest & true gut feeling about you is that there is a good/happy outcome to this kidney chapter of your Life Book.

I've learned to trust my gut & so I'll continue to strongly believe that.

Tom, will keep you in my prayers. Hang in there and trust God for His will. Have a friend for years who waited for quite a while for a donor but finally everything came through. It was a real new lease on life for her!
