Definitely get help with coping. The VA is an option, but considering the workload they are under it's hard to tell how soon they will be able to see you and how much time they can give. You might also want to contact your local VFW, American Legion and DAV (Disabled American Vet's) for information about local counseling services available to you.

SubaDuba, another option might be to tell his (their) story. Only you will know if you can, but it might help to go to the DAV, VFW, etc and sit down with an old timer and just talk it out.

In addition to the things mentioned above, if you haven't read it already, pick up a copy of Dave Grossman's On Combat. It may help you find words for some of the things you're dealing with.
