Sorry to hear about the fire and your loss. But the whole time I was reading your post, I was struck by how you sound like you were level-headed the whole time and approach this new situation with a great attitude! Yes, the sentimental stuff being gone is tragic, but you're counting your blessings and I just wanted to say that's admirable how you're staying positive this whole time. Lack of sleep notwithstanding (and it's traumatic, of course, that's to be expected), I think you'll bounce back very quickly.

Sorry PPK, I've seen too many people lose their homes and business to fires and have seen the heartache that goes with it. It's tough to lose items you can't replace but at least no one was hurt.

    Good Luck, rk

    I feel your pain, PPKHeat

My shop was set on fire a few years ago. It was a deliberate arson.
Three of my dump trucks were on fire.

I was able to get all 6 trucks out (even the ones that were on fire). By the time the fire department got there, we had the fire out.

    The guy was never caught.

I was real disappointed in the fire marshall. His investigation was pathetic. The morning after the fire, I traced some tracks back through the field to a creek and saw where the guy (or guys) came across. I even found the empty gas containers and butane lighter in the brush.

I called the detective and asked him to come back out. I showed him what I found and he just shrugged his shoulders. I said "aren't you gonna try and get prints?" He said "no, theres probably nothing worth getting."

My tax money is being completely wasted.
