Home Again
Well I had my back surgery on the 7th and got to come home on the 9th I can honestly say I never had anything hurt so damn bad. The pain has eased up some since I came home and the pain killers help a lot but I hate them but sometimes just can't help it. The Doc said we hit a home run and he got everything done he wanted to do and I swear I got an inch taller sine he straightned me up. Well its nap time talk to you all soon (looks like I'll be down about a month)

Keep looking forward it will get better, will remember you in my prayers.

WOW, Lots of people w/ back problems. Been there got the t-shirt. Take it easy and stretch when your back is healed well enough. Just remember that you will need to exercise soon to regain mobility and strength. :smiley2:

Thanks everybody I guess I am just not used to sitting around on my butt. Hey Thumper how did the Job Interview GO?

Skysoldier,
Sorry I have been remiss and not seen this before.... good to hear that you are home and recovering. After having back surgery in 2006, cancer in 2006, shoulder surgery in 2008 and neck surgery in 2009, my only advice is TAKE IT EASY !
LOL, don't try to overdue.... anything. It will catch up with you pretty quick. Anytime you start feeling frisky, just go look in a mirror and reality will set in rather fast. That grey headed fellow looking back at you is a reminder that we're not as young as we used to be and healing takes a whole lot longer. :embarassed:
I've learned that there is an art to compromise..... it's necessary when one is 60 years old, has the body of an 80 year old and the mind of a 30 year old..........
Heal well, my friend.
Dave

Hey Dave Long Time. Great to hear from you. You know my Dad always told me never be afraid to try new things but enough is enough. Actually my back is doing pretty good I had to usa a walker when I came home and now I can walk without any help. The back brace is a pain but only have to use it for a month or so. Hows everything out there in Gods country? any you doing OK you are right about the age thing these so call "Golden Years" are a pain in the A__.
