Praying for a positive outcome. Be strong for your wife, she'll need you more now than she may be able to say. My father was WWII Army Infantry in Europe, we are loosing real American Heros at an alarming rate now. If you are able thank him for his service and sacrifices during the war.

You and Mrs. Ex are in my thoughts and prayers.
I really don't think Mrs. Ex should miss a treatment.
Is there anything they can give her for nausea? A friend of mine is a nurse and she said to take chewable Dramamine when you get nauseated.

UPDATE:
Lemme tell you something about this old guy. I am convinced that this is a man death will have to take in one fell swoop. You can't kill this WWII hero by degrees. Last night the docs said it would be a miracle if he lived thru the night. Then it was "probably pass sometime this morning." NOW, he's got a rally going and his color is returning. Still, this is EXTREME congestive heart failure with pneumonia on top and he IS 86. So we're still going up and prepping for a funeral. At the very least we may get to see him once more still breathing. In fact he may be waiting for us to do just that before he goes to see his wife, and both my parents. My mom held on till I got to her bedside (from the other side of the county) and was holding her hand when she crossed into GLORY.

UPDATE: THE COLONEL (USMC RET) WENT HOME TO THE LORD AT 10:25AM THIS MORNING. We are leaving for north FL tomorrow morning to arrange the funeral and execute the will. As my wife so wisely remarked to me today: "Our tears are for US. We know he's with his beloved wife and both MY parents and they're all sitting around the GREAT HALL with the Lord playing bridge." We'll both MISS him terribly but we both know we'll see our loved ones again. Grief is for the living. The departed in Christ, know only joy.
