Meanwhile it's 8 Hours long. I don't think I have got 8 full hours of sleep in at least a decade.

I'm a sucker for thunderstorms and rain, this sure makes for some nice listening.

Also...is the intro music from Final Fantasy 7?

I gave it 5 and a half minutes. Gracious by anyone's standards.

Having a good canvas tent and ground cloth, an not to heavy rain always has been nice to fall asleep too.

It would be good to hear some real rain here in the Sierras. Its awful dry. I have galvanized steel roofs on all of my buildings, but the insulation in the house prevents hearing it. I have a 4 foot leftover piece outside my bedroom window strictly for sound effects.

I have a sound machine that will play all night long, or you can set it for different times and it will turn the sound down slowly until it is off. It has rain, ocean surf, waterfalls, creeks and crickets, thunderstorms, railroad track sounds, white noise, and some funky east indian music. I like the white noise, but it doesn't go loud enough to drown out my GF's snoring.

I'm an early morning person and I have to share this even though it's a little OT.

I'm coming down the stairs from my bedroom which is on the second floor. It's my 'princess bed', which has a nice canopy bed and is next to a sky-lighted loft, when I hear this noise.

It's like the sound whales make, or maybe like that sound that tigers (or, allegedly Bigfoot) makes. (Google Infrasound).

I'm now a little worried and I put my hand on the butt of my EDC which is stashed in the left bra cup...

I slowly turn my head to see if I can echo-locate and, behold it's coming from the Master Bedroom. I edge closer and discover to my horror, shock and glee it's my girlfriend...snoring.

OMG, this sound, which is kind of preternatural has penetrated three rooms, a closed door and has penetrated and oozed out from the chambers under the stairs on the other side of my house.

Amazing. I mean this girl can clear your sinuses with her log sawing. The only way I can get a good nights' sleep is to sleep on the other side of the house with the window A/C on.

The downside to the white noise is I wonder if it contributes to my tinnitus... :(
