This is a discussion on Gun preping in a non free state within the Bushcraft - Primitive Skills - Survival Skills - Camping forums, part of the Related Topics category; Though ocure to me .. Sure guns are just one part of the prep angle but what if you live in a non free state ...
Though ocure to me .. Sure guns are just one part of the prep angle but what if you live in a non free state ? Do you altern your prep guns or ?
I think CA is not that bad .. Sure you have to have a mag lock but that takes about 10 sec to come off and if you have a radlock can just switch it over to be a normal relse and the gun is a normal rifle otherwise ...
But what about states like NY and CT where you have to have weird looking guns etc .. Do you train with a mini 14 or a ketltec 16 or the like or what ??
MA seems the weirdeest to me as can get pre 94 guns in that state .. So consider the cost and df in getting a class a permit to own and the cost of the pre 94 now ... Do you buy the AR or what elese would you get ..?
Make me wonder ....
As werid as it sounds CA is close to the best of right now for gun prepper as in most case all you need to add is a little piece of metal to a normal gun or even rifle handgun to make it legal and SHTF takes like 5 sec to change back
And heck until this year you could own all the 30-100 round mags you wanted just not put together but again SHTF no more law takes a few secs ...
Thoughts from thous in Ban states ?

I doubt many preppers in Socialist States will be saying much on an open forum.
Instead of moving, I would encourage all good Americans to fight for their civil rights instead of "moving" to a place that has already 'done-the-work'.
My State will become the most free regarding firearms in the Nation on 01 July.
Open Carry + No Preemption of State Law allowed. (The NRA is using it as a 'model' for other States).
Then begins the fight to keep our hard-won freedoms from the Control-Freaks.

Well my state isn't as free as say Kentucky or a couple of the southern states but it ain't Cali or NY by a long shot. Having said that if the SHTF and WROL goes out the window all government employees from anti gun governors on down will sure be wishing they had a couple AR's or AK's and a few thousand rounds cuz their number will be up.
That will be a great time to have a couple of miles of rope on hand.
I'm just a spoke in the wheel but not a big deal.
America...a Constitutional Republic. NOT a democracy as the liberals would have us believe.
