    Fanny Packs

I work as a personal trainer, and I know of two other trainers who wear fanny packs... I have no idea if they carry and have not asked, but thanks to the idiosyncrasies of bodybuilding subculture, fanny packs are widely accepted in the gym. Seems like a practical solution. Personally, I'd prefer if gym staff just CC'd so members could focus on exercise and not safety... Thankfully, LEO's are ever present in my gym... I carry my SOG Flash II on my waistband, and my martial arts background in my body

Not to mention the part about getting to your gun should you need it. Sealing it up like that is almost as bad as not having it.

Take the shower with your Glock; they have been fired underwater, and you can always throw them in the dishwasher after

I carry at the gym all the time - I would say a Fanny Pack is your best option.

You mean you openly display it? No one calls the cops with a MWAG complaint?

Edit, OK, I assume you mean you hang the fanny pack on the treadmill, sorry, I thought you meant the gun.

I carry at the gym, and posted same in that thread I believe you are referring to.

I carry same as I walked in off the street; IWB.

I do everything including squats and pushups (daily) while carrying.
Key is not so much the gun or even the method of carry, but your choice in cover.
Wearing a shirt that barely reaches your beltline clearly is not gonna work. As well wearing one of those pantyhose tight super muscle guy shirts ain't gonna work either.

I wear either shorts with lots of pockets (to hold my spare magazine and/or knife and OC/CS as again worn in from off the street) or track pants (winter) over top of same type shorts and an old t-shirt one size too large or a basketball type tank top also one size too large and long.

    I'm 6'1" and today 170 lbs.
My CCW of choice is a full size steel 1911 although at times I do carry a Colt Defender (steel w/alloy lower).

why would you need to carry at a gym?
    Because of tragedies like this:
