I've never drawn it or touched it.
I've not drawn it, but I did hover over it.
I've not drawn it, but I did have my hand on it.
I drew down on the perp (pulled it out, but not pointed at the perp)
I drew it and pointed it at the perp, but did not fire.
I've had to draw and shoot.

I hand my hand on my gun laying on my lap while in my car once. Some guy that was obviously on drugs was scoping my car while I was waiting for a friend one night to finish up at a rest stop.

Had hand on it once when a dog charged my 5 year old bearing teeth. Dog stopped just as I was starting to pull to clear the holster.
I voted never touched it as I figure that this poll is for civilian concealed carriers.
But after 25+ years in LE I have many, many times drew my sidearm to cover a perpetrator.

And the purpose for having names listed is?
I drew my gun when we were jumped while fishing and they hurt my friend. the punks ran at the sight of the gun. I was in my service truck doing paper work with the drivers door open. this happened about eleven at night when a thug and his girl friend tried to rob me.I reached down and picked up my 357 and laid it in my lap with my hand on it. They took off while cursing me.
While I did draw and point it @ the guy. He didn't know I had a gun and it was on him.
That was a nerve racking moment. Now that I've reflected on that event......Still takes my breath away.
I let my M249 ring out a couple times...... but thats not exactly the same is it? (I did not vote)

I've drawn and fired.....and I've drawn and the BG made the correct decision to stop what he was doing...
