Newest Shooting in SC
As reported in the Charleston's Post and Courier on May 9, three teenage robbers were shot when they tried to rob employees at a restaurant in Gaffney, SC. Two workers at Sonny's Cafe were armed and began shooting as the suspects started to leave the restaurant. One robber, a 16 year old, was killed and the other two teens were wounded. No word in story about aftermath but history would bet that the story begins and ends with the above info and that the two survivors will be charged with robbery and the employees will not be charged with any crime as long as their firearms were duly licensed. I'm sure a followup story, if available, will interview the mother or grandmother of the 16 year old and I will find out that he "was a good boy"--in any case, protection of your life and property is clear and unmistakable in SC even if Mayor Bloomschmoe of NYC does not agree.

This may sound ignorant of me, but is it possible for the two employees to get charged? The robbers were leaving already, so the imminent danger is gone.
If someone could shed more light on this, it would be great! :bier:
