You witness three teens leave a restaurant without paying...

You and a friend are having dinner at a Waffle House at around 5:00 and witness three teens leaving the restaurant without paying for their meal.

Your friend urges you to go with him into the parking lot to confront the teens and attempt to stop them from leaving.

    What do you do?

Now, check out how this this scenario played out just three days ago...

Besides notifying and witnessing it...i'm not doing anything else. This is a nonviolent crime and doesn't even involve property damage.

This is one of those things that wouldn't even hit my radar. I might point out to the server what's going on. I might write down the license plate if I could see it from where I was sitting. I'm not getting out of my chair. In fact, I'm still eating.

They're stealing waffles, for crying out loud.

While I may notice that the teens left without just compesation to the proprietor, I'm busy eating. Pass the butter and the syrup please.

I'm going to possibly die for a $25.00 waffle bill? I don't think so!

I would get the tag number of the vehicle if I could see if from my seat, and let the management of the waffle house know about it.

I am doing absolutely nothing in this incident, despite the fact that these kids are probably due for a good tuneup to get them in check. I'm not gonna start a possibly violent confrontation over someone not paying $20. Sounds like this guy was overly eager to play cop for a day.
