A man allegedly fleeing Chicago Police apparently picked the wrong house to hide in early Thursday.

Aaron Marshall, 26, was shot in his side by a resident as he broke through a window of a home in the 300 block of North Pine as police chased him on foot, officials said.

The homeowner will not be charged, officials said.
Marshall, of the 5400 block of West Monroe, was charged with criminal trespass to a residence, possession of a controlled substance, failure to stop at a stop sign and driving on a revoked license.

I thought it was illegal to own a handgun in Chicago....did anyone read if it was a shotgun or rifle? Those are legal there, correct?
