It looks like a few seconds in the video the robber points his gun in the direction of the guy in red. If I was the guy in red, as soon as I saw the firearm i would have went for cover and shot his ass.

He would have had 11 rounds of 230 gr. +P .45ACP through his chest for sure. I'm not waiting around to see if that lady has the means to protect herself. I see him go after the clerk with a gun. Game over.

Also shot placement is key here since you don't want to miss and shoot the clerk and customer who are hiding behind the door.

At least twice the BG aims his gun at the guy in red. I believe that is assault with a deadly weapon for which the use of deadly force is justified. You certainly would be justified in fearing for your life with a BG pointing his gun at you.

make an acute angle with the wall or cover and fire at the BG...will avoid hitting the door and it looks as if that is brick in the rest of the hall?

1st - Not much the delivery guy could do, the BG has a weapon, his only option is to get out of sight and call the cops for him.

2nd - I agree with whomever said it's a shame it didn't end right there. How many more innocent people will this POS hurt or possibly kill before he's stopped.

I would like to think I would solve the problem without considering the legal questions but in the back of my mind, in this particular scenario, some dipwad LEO or Commonwealth's Attorney would be saying I could have fled, therefore I could be charged with anything from felony assault or murder. Or his family would sue me. Stupid but possible.

I've heard said that "I am not responsible for anyone else, they should have their own gun." In this case, that is exactly what happened.

if someone else is in danger or great bodily harm or death, you do not have to retreat, at least in my state you only need to retreat if the threat is against you and you can escape...in this case..the intended victims were trapped from escape

First I would run for cover as soon as I saw he was armed. Once I was off the X I would draw and shoot him in the back (from cover).
Two roads diverged in a wood, and Ió
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
