Waking up in a strange hotel room I would be a little disoreintated and might not even think about my gun until I was 50 miles down the road. I would probably attach my car keys to the holster somehow to preclude forgetting the gun

Just make sure it's put away safe, most people are not familiar with the glock. You wouldn't want someone picking it up and accidentaly squeezin one off.

I travel with a shaving kit bag. I'd go to the bathroom, shower/change and zip up the gun and holster in the bag, or roll it up in my clothes. I leave the bag by the bed where I can get to it. In the morning, I carry my clothes and the bag into the bathroom to get dressed.

Well, not to put to fine a point on it, I really don't give a you know what about what other people think. I am not of of those who think the fact that I carry is some sort of state secret. I would have to say that every one of my friends know, 99% of my family and most of my co-workers know. WHO CARES?

I have never understood why it is such a big deal to some. When I sleep in a hotel, my weapon is on the bedside table. PERIOD! If I am sharing a room with someone and they don't like the fact that I CC then either I will get my own room or they can makes no difference to me. What I will not do is alter my self-defense routine to satisfy someone else.
You may now carry on with your absurd non-directional bantering.

who cares? because the person you may be defending yourself against might be an acquaintance! I don't know the stats but a great deal of attacks are from people who know each other.

the Kellerman study. It's been thorougly debunked . They inflated the number of people who "knew each other" by throwing in people who knew each other through criminal activity take those numbers out and the statistic plummets.
