I'm amazed that somebody with outstanding warrants for aggravated battery and theft would behave that way. I've been reading mystery novels but still I wonder if this was all a ploy to get away from the guy he was with like they do in movies? Hard to imagine a wanted man pulling a stunt if he didn't WANT a trip downtown.
Never underestimate stupidity.
We have that about once an hour on the weekends at our bar, but I never saw it in a steak house.
I'm glad to hear everything went smoothly!
Thank you for posting that was creative writing and I enjoyed reading it. Glad everything turned out ok. Those guys are hard to let go and just sit there your a bigger man than I. I probably would have escorted this guy outside or asked if he would like to join me and I'd end up in jail. Can't even give out free whoopins anymore with out going to jail.
Well I once saw something simular. A bunch of coworkers of my then wife went to a bar. She worked retail so there were some that were underage. In Michigan they can be in a bar up to a certain time, but of course cannot drink alcohol. This one underage guy manages to get a drink ordered and brought to the table. At some point the waitress tells him he has to show ID or he can't drink. He gets upset and refuses to surrender the drink. The waitress calls the cops.
Two of the biggest sherrif depties I have ever seen show up. Actually they were two of the biggest guys I have ever seen, Huge! The guy still refuses to give up his drink and lips off to the deputies.
In the back of my mind I am thinking they are just going to break this guy in half and put him in two different cars. They looked big and mean enough to do it. Eventually the guy left, but I'm not sure if they gave him a minor in posession or distrubing the peace ticket or not.
thanks for sharing, good job on keeping your cool...

After another few moments, punctuated with highly offensive, obscene comments by the idiot, the first Sheriff's unit arrived. The fellow greeted the deputy with a loud "What the <blank> do you want, pig?".
Wrong answer.
I know better but I sure would have been tempted to go up to the table and call the Police from his table.
That seems to be a trend. Anytime I received that greeting, the greeter was less than happy with the outcome of the encounter.
If this knucklehead thought the food was bad at the restaurant then wait till he gets to eat the chow from county jail. Kudos to you for assisting the restaurant folks. Hopefully it didn't ruin your dinner.
I like the image that springs to mind of the waitress asking bubba the hulking chef in back to help her deal with a rude guest. Big bubba would come out with his bloody apron and slam an axe handle on their table and ask "we got a problem gentlemen?":got-hooligan::spank::sign07::owned: See how tuff he is then! Bubba ain't afraid a goin back to prison, no sir.
Good response in bubba absence! wow we gots lottsa smilies!
