My home, my family, and I will protect it/them until death (if that's the way it goes).
Your home, your family...I will give as much sensible assistance as possible, but I must consider all the options because I want to continue to be there for my family.
I'm not a cop, I don't wear capes and tights, I have physical limitations, and life is tough for us all.

    This is a tough one.
A couple of my neighbors I am good friends with so I would want to help. With that said, three on one with possibly unknown weapons is bad odds. The way it unfolds would to a large extent determine my specific actions. I would definitely employ something other/in addition to an EDC.

Besides my EDC 1911,I have a semi-auto shotty, and an AR15 loaded in my home, unless one of my neighbours was in danger,I'm calling the cops and trying to get tag numbers, one thing you don't want to do is stop the BG's from leaving and they run back in the house and you now have a hostage situation,if somebody ends up dead and the family sues you stating they were leaving and everybody was ok until Rambo got involved and they ran back into the house

I'm staying home, unless my neighbor's life is at risk.

I like Biker's tactics. I've got a bolt action .223 that would do the job nicely

Nope. My OWN property isn't worth my life, either, nor is it worth a prison sentence.

It sure seesm the safest way to go if your going to get involved. Since this was supposedly an ARMED home invasion, where I am assuming the home owners were present, then we could assume they were in fear for their lives. In many states you can use deadly force to prevent the death of another so a sniper rifle and scope might be OK.
I wonder, if the bad guys are carrying out a big screen tv how are they managing to keep the home owner at gun point? The bad guys would be to busy with the tv unless two are carrying it, and one has the family covered. This almost sounds like an overly aggressive repo team to me!
