Hit the deck! Low crawl to hard cover. Watch for intruders & call 911. Problem is, I won't be sticking my head up to be looking out any windows, so it's likely they will be gone before I take the chance to look outside. I likely won't have much information to give the cops.
"The gun is the great equalizer... For it is the gun, that allows the meek to repel the monsters; Whom are bigger, stronger and without conscience, prey on those who without one, would surely perish."
"Outside of the killings, Washington has one of the lowest crime rates in the country,"
--Mayor Marion Barry, Washington , DC .
This is why I sit on my roof with an AR and a night scope until dawn every night...you just never know...
Hit the deck, find hard cover and be ready for a fight if they want to be men and have the eggs to confront you.
"The sheep hate the sheepdog almost as much as the wolf until a wolf shows up."
Duck and proceed to make like a frat boy at a busted party.
Take cover, arm, cover the door in case they come in.
An enemy of liberty is no friend of mine. I do not owe respect to anyone who would enslave me by government force, nor is it wise for such a person to expect it. -- Isaiah Amberay
WhoWeBePart1 that sounds tempting

Accuracy ALWAYS WINS! So carry what you can hit with.
If you find yourself in a fair fight your tactics stink.
Yikes...i'd find some cover...the bathtub maybe!
Wasn't a drive by, but, a run by. I got the Grand-kids out of bed and on the floor. Bullets whizzed by the house at window height, I believe 9mm; hopefully the brick wall would have stopped them. One bullet in a tree next to the house and none found hitting the house. Little tense for a moment.
I'd hit the deck and crawl to grab my AR 10. My son is usually on the 2nd floor, and he is surgical with his FS 2000. If the BGs got out of the car, he'd pick them off from the high ground like ducks in a pond.
