Hit the deck! Low crawl to hard cover. Watch for intruders & call 911. Problem is, I won't be sticking my head up to be looking out any windows, so it's likely they will be gone before I take the chance to look outside. I likely won't have much information to give the cops.

'london bridge...... is falling down' down to the floor.... one more thing... my house is raised up not at street level.. As a brick house I'm not worried about any sub-machine gun/handgun rounds penetrating the brick, a window yes. Anyone in the basement or first floor is probably fine just laying on the floor wherever. Just the bedroom that boarders the outside facing the street on the 2nd floor is in most direct danger, but even then the roof and brick would slow alot down.

Wasn't a drive by, but, a run by. I got the Grand-kids out of bed and on the floor. Bullets whizzed by the house at window height, I believe 9mm; hopefully the brick wall would have stopped them. One bullet in a tree next to the house and none found hitting the house. Little tense for a moment.

I'd hit the deck and crawl to grab my AR 10. My son is usually on the 2nd floor, and he is surgical with his FS 2000. If the BGs got out of the car, he'd pick them off from the high ground like ducks in a pond.
