Fortune favors the bold.
Freedom doesn't mean safe, it means free.
The thing about "defense" is that it has practically nothing to do with guns. (As passed on by CCW9MM)

Equality does not exist in the real world - it is a fiction to help the self esteem of those groups who consistently fail to succeed.

Strong language, however it shows that an attacker doesn't need a reason to attack.
Can't get it to load to a specific time, just skip to :40 sec to see the attack.

When only cops have guns, it's called a "police state". Love your country, but never trust its government.

Well, well, well... I see people with her attitude day in and day out. I think BikerRN's post is pretty much spot on. Having her watch a bunch of YouTube videos won't change a thing. Examples which she needs are out there every day on the nightly news. She's seen it... She ignores it because it doesn't apply to her.
As BikerRN also stated, forget it. Let her lead her life. Maybe she'll survive, maybe she won't. However, your continuance to persuade her to be more safety conscience is seen by her as annoying. So quit annoying her. She has no respect for your opinion or experience regarding prevention and protection.

"The gun is the great equalizer... For it is the gun, that allows the meek to repel the monsters; Whom are bigger, stronger and without conscience, prey on those who without one, would surely perish."
It sounds like she's slowly getting the message, so I guess eventually beats never, but hopefully it isn't after she's crippled from an attack. I like that you've changed the work rules. Sometimes that's the best you can do, and hope that makes people more aware. Who knows, maybe by changing the rules you will save someone other than the woman you are talking about.
"It is your evil that will be sought by us. With every breath we will hunt them down. Each day we will spill their blood, until it rains down from the skies. Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles that every man from every faith can embrace." -McManus twins Boondock Saints
How about you, the Boss, tell her, the employee, that she needs to act in a more rational way regarding the threat around your business OR she can look for work elsewhere. If she's not responsible for her own safety how can she be responsible to protect the interests of your business?
