I would be driving. I would hope to avoid injuring as many rioters as possible but my first concern is my safety. I only saw a little of the video because it kept buffering but from what I saw it was well past time to leave.
This reminds me that I need to relocate the intercooler on my truck or at least put some guards around the plumbing. My current set up is fine for on the road but if I were to have to take out some shrubs or fences to escape I could have big problems.

Vids of incidents such as this domestically are very easy to find via Google and news web sites (CNN, FOX, ABC, etc.).
Consistently the people who sit in their car and/or try to negotiate and creep their way through the gauntlet wind up suffering greatly.
It's got to be terrifying to them in the immediate...Which to my mind is just the reason why it is justified to take foot to the go pedal measures.
Escape and dial 911from the road to let them know humans may be caught up under your undercarriage and/or hanging on to your spoiler.

I think the law should be that anyone in or near a mob should be shot with extreme prejudice. Mobs are a breakdown in society that are responsible for all kinds of horrible crimes. Don't want to be shot? Don't be there or lie down.

Drive right through them. If, for whatever reason, the car is stopped and your passenger is being pulled from the car....the attackers get shot. This is easily a life or death scenerio.
I want to add...the young guy in the video...by the driver door, white cap and backpack. That guy deserves an award. He stood there and fended off wave after wave of morons trying to get to the driver.
