Reach in coat pocket and throw a hand full of peanuts on the ground.

Some years ago, some squirrels in SO Cal had fleas with plague on them.

For years Tim Bedore has said that the animal world is running a campaign of terrorism against the human race.

I noticed this statement in the story.

"One woman is being treated for exposure to rabies, but Vermont Public Health Veterinarian Robert Johnson says there's never been a case of a squirrel passing rabies to a human."

Anytime a public official says "never" it triggers my Google reflex.

Squirrels are just rats with fluffy tails. They carry disease, including rabies, fleas, tics and other potential causes of disease in humans and our household pets.
Besides ... squirrels are spawns of the devil and are proliferating in our cities, towns and forests with one goal in mind: to take over the world!
Yes, my friends, it is high time to take the battle to these rodents.

Lucky for me, I like my .22's. I stopped counting how many I have now. I have NIB never fired rifles stuffed in hiding places in my house. I'd make a nice selection, take it into my shop and tune it up. I'd fit a nice scope and get it dialed in for CCI Green Tags. Then, I'd enjoy my hunt. I'd plan it all out and relish the shot when it is finally taken. Then I'd have it stuffed and mounted, standing on its hind legs holding a little dish. I'd put peanuts in the dish and the squirrel would sit on my bar until I die.

OK, I scared myself a little there. But, I'm just being honest... thats probably what I'd do.
