Y'all are going to have a lot of fun with this one.

    BGs armed but never shoot.

Store owner carrying with empty chamber.

Shoots even after BGs are out the door.

Shoots not knowing where his employee is.

"served 7 years in the Iraq army so he is trained to use a weapon"..... If that's the result of Iraq army training then... well... wow. Just, wow.

I hope to heck that the soldiers in Iraq use their guns better and more effectively than that.

didn't notice that. Did he pick it up and reload or did he have a spare?

Did anyone else notice as the first robber approaches the door to enter the store
he pulls his shirts sleeves down over his hands to keep from leaving finger prints on the door?

He was not that cool headed on the way out was he?

No, they don't. I spent a year on a transition team trying to train them. The vast majority don't give a crap and just want the check. The weapons discipline is horrible. We had at least 4 shoot themselves or their buddy in the foot walking around with fingers on the triggers of their AKs. When they do decide to shoot at someone, it's volume and luck if they hit anything.

I give him credit. he fought. He fought and lived. Good for him. Sure he was sloppy, but sloppy with the will to fight like a lion is more than most BGs are willing to endure.

I liked the part when the interviewer asked him how he could come back to work the next day and he said that "you have to, to live".

The guy is there working in bad conditions to support his family. Good for him. So many US born citizens forget what the American dream really is all about. It's about a fair shake, the idea that if you are willing to work hard you will be able to earn a living. It's not about free handouts.

Yep. I noticed this when I was over there the first time. It seemed more about machismo than about actually hitting anything.

If the BG had decided to shoot things could have gotten real nasty especially in the beginning when the gun grab was tried. Thank God no one on the outside of the store was hit by the stray rounds fired by the GG. The next time a robbery happens there and there have been two before this attempt the BG's will just come in and shot the clerk and my money is on the fact that there will be another robbery by someone who wants to make a name for themselves on the street.

Iraqis arms training is something new to me… I have been trained in weaver, and point shooting, I have never, until now, seen the ballet stance for pistol shooting…
