I can't recall a single SD shooting court case where someone skated on a bible verse.

Try reading Psalm 82:4, Proverbs 24:11, or Ezekiel 33

I have no problem rendering aid based on these verses as long as the skies open and a bright light illuminates only the innocent party in a fight that I just happen to drive past.

Otherwise, I don't know which is the good guy.

Things are not what they always appear.

This is one of those little towns where just about everyone keeps a gun in their truck, especially around hunting season. I had about a second to react so I pulled. Got my dad back in the car and we got out of there.

In hind sight pulling might not have been the best option but when running on an adrenaline dump and you've got less than a second to make a decision you are just moving in instinct.

I almost considered not carrying anymore after this because until you've pointed a gun at someone because they scare the hell out of you there is no way you could understand the feeling.
By drawing your firearm, you escalated a situation into which you had interjected yourself to the level of a deadly force confrontation. Had the person you drew down on shot and killed you, he would quite likely have been exonerated. Had he called the police, you would likely have been charged and convicted of your state's equivalent of agg menacing.

Tell your parents to get back in the car or you will shot them in the leg...then leave ASAP.

Cummins Im not sure were you are going with all the religion. If you have something to say, please start another thread regarding it. I would be interested to see what you have to say.

    Re Bible verses:

    Try this:

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or [as] a thief, or [as] an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
