Amazing thread and some amazing replies. Everyone knows exactly what Gary did and he was wrong, wrong wrong, particularly since he is in possession of a firearm. Not saying that the "other guy" isn't an idiot also, but it does take "2 to tango" and when both have firearms---incredible stupidity. Replies with words like "I'd drop him" are consistent with Gary's "locked and cocked" comment. At least the majority of the replies were responsible replies by members who have a handle on what their responsibilities are when they are out and about with their firearms. There is one thing, in addition to the cell phone/911, that you can do--- continue driving to a location that 911 can have an officer waiting, or drive right to the police station. Guess what Gary---if there were witnesses from moment one you would be surprised to find out what end of a jury trial you would be on if you had actually shot the idiot road rager---guess who started this.

To emphasize the J part, when you say aggravated and waving a pistol, are they just aggitated and waving it in the air or are they making statements like, "I'm going to kill you, you (expletive)?" In either case he has the ability (a gun) and the opportunity (within shooting distance), but are you facing an imminent threat from the guy?
