There are at least 2 other threads running with this story, but 10 mins ago (a little before 8 pm MST), I heard the wife watching "Dr. Drew" in the next room, and he was interviewing the brave mother. What caught my ear was "waiting twenty-something minutes for the police to arrive."
I can't imagine anyone not related to the dead intruder thinking she did anything wrong. Her local PTA should name her Mother of the Year for 2012, and she should get a hug from Michelle Obama.

I just read that the other guy who took off running after HE heard the shots is being charged with murder. Ha sucks to be him.

Again when seconds matter the police are still minutes away. Kudos for them defending themselves.
