Score Another One for the Good Guys
From this morning's paper:
LAKE WACCAMAW, N.C. (AP) -- Police say a store employee in Columbus County has shot and killed a would-be robber.
The Fayetteville Observer reported (FayObserver.com - Lake Waccamaw store employee fatally wounds man during robbery attempt ) that Lake Waccamaw Police chief Scott Hyatt says the employee shot an armed man during a holdup attempt Wednesday.
The 20-year-old man died several hours later. His name has not been released.
Hyatt says the man was armed but did not have a gun when he went into Waccamaw Outdoor Supply and confronted an employee.
The man was shot once and was taken to Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville, and later was transferred to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington where he died.
Hyatt says he does not expect to file charges against the employee
Cuddos to the store clerk!

So, I looked it up Waccamaw Outdoor Supply (from google)
So, you are going to a gun shop to rob it? Har de har har... Darwin Awards candidate, come right in and claim your prize!
Waccamaw Outdoor Supply - Description: Waccamaw Outdoor Supply offers clothing, firearms & ammo, live bait and tackle, coldest beer in town and many other ...
Now, would anyone care to explain to me how it's possible that BGs who, in general, are stupid enough to try to rob a gunshop; are also smart enough to read a gunbuster sign and then come to the brilliant conclusion that "this place is a victim zone, no one will be armed here."
Nope, most of the badguys is dumber than dirt... and this is just one small proof of their "intellect."
It could be worse!

Another one bites the dust!
On a side note I saw a headline in USA Today stating that homicide in the US is no longer in the top 15 causes of death. I didn't have time to read the article but do you suppose, just suppose, that some of the scum are coming to the conclusion that their next "victim" might be armed and maybe they need a new line of "work"?

Who says you can't get a one shot kill out of a handgun. Placement is everything. Humpty Dumpty syndrome, all the towns doctors and all the towns nurses, couldn't put BG together again.

The article stated, "A masked suspect came in with a weapon - not a gun, a weapon - and there was an exchange between the employee and the suspect." The idiot must of had a knife to rob a gun store. See what drugs can do the the brain. lol
