good post
as i've noticed about others--that they do not always do as i think they will nor often as they say they will.
this not only makes life interesting, it makes it dangerous too.

I saw this video a while back but the one I saw didn't have the annotations on the screen giving details or the commentary. I didn't know the BG's were wearing body armor. Good shooting. Marine handled himself well. I did know from the first time I saw it that the guy was shot in the spine and paralyzed. But I didn't know he died two years later.

It's an oldie but a goodie.

The comments that people made on youtube are aggravating. One person was saying that the BGs were obviously not violent and the marine was wrong for defending himself...![]()

Glad to see the right come walk out of it with no injuries.
As to the comments, let's see what they think if they had been there.

I hate to be the one to rain on the parade, but the Marine/jeweler was lucky. He didn't have his gun on him. He had to go get it. He could have easily have been shot before he could get to it. He did however fight back and the bad guys weren't expecting that! so, good for him!

Hooraa! Good job. It is a shame the BG in white had to suffer 2 years before dying.

I've read this guys book, Semper Cool, and enjoyed it, plus all of the authors' royalties go to helping wounded Marines. I don't know him personally, nor am I affiliated in any way, but here's the link to his website for those interested. HOME

Glad our good guy was unscathed after delivering an armed response. Does he ever mention the pistol or caliber used? Its very clear that the one CM shot that severed BG spine still gave plenty of room for him to draw and return fire. He did'nt , as he chose to flee. But it communicates to me that multiple CM hits are necessary to stop the fight.Body armor wearing BG's and possibility of drug use(meth, coke, ect) are gonna make it that much harder to stop someone fast.He did well and was lucky imho...
