Police seek Garner NC hit-and-run, shooting suspect

Garner, N.C. — Garner police are looking for a man who shot another driver four times before fleeing the scene of a wreck early Sunday.

Around 1 a.m., a man leaving a shopping center on Jones Sausage Road, between East Garner Road and U.S. Highway 70, was rear-ended by a red late-model sedan. A confrontation occurred, during which the sedan driver asked the victim not to call police.

When the victim refused, police said, the man shot him four times and fled the scene.

A bit sketchy on details but I wonder if the victim had been carrying would he have been able to stop the attacker. Considering the hour this happened I bet that alcohol was involved on the part of the shooter and his desire not to get the police involved.
