I was just watching it on CNN.
That is totally odd and out of place for Lancaster County.
I guess for sure no area is immune these days.
If there are multiple deaths then they are fairly young children since the Amish only go to school until Grade 8.
A very sad and tragic situation.

Lancaster County was also where the one kid killed his 14/15 year old girlfriend's family after she came home from a night out partyinog with him all night and was forbinned to see him. They then both took off and were caught a day or two later.

3 students killed and 7 injured.
I don't understand why this happens. Insane.
Bodes badly for lawful ownership in the eyes of anti-firearm people.

God Bless Lancaster Pennsylvania, and the souls of the innocent young victims
After the events here last week in Colorado, I am deeply saddened by the news of the Lancaster, Pa. school shootings. The moral decay of this world that is happening sickens me. You almost feel like finding a hole somewhere and hiding in it to get away frome this insanity. I dont know how much more sad news like this we can all take. May God please save us from this insanity!

So this nut has been stewing in his own juices for twenty years? Watch now and the reports from his aquaintances will come out about the "warning signs" this guy emitted over the years.
Apparently a very similar event in Britain prompted the gun ban there.

The last that I heard the guy was not Amish but, was a Milk Delivery man. He was married and had little kids of his own.
For some (as of yet unexplained reason) he had a long time grudge against the school for 20 years dating back to when he was only 12 years old.
He left his Wife a note stating that he was not coming home.
He went to the school & let the teachers and all of the male children go free.
Then he wire tied the girls & executed them and then killed himself.
How anybody who had kids of their own could even contemplate doing that to other children. I will never understand that.
He must have been extremely ill in the head.

Let's balance this story for the anti gunners...
This tragic event has nothing to do with guns, and everything to do with crazy people. As evidence I offer this story from Japan, where gun control is almost universal. In 2001 a man with a knife went into a school and killed 8 people and wounded 15, mostly children:
Japan school stabbings
You don't need a gun if you are crazy and want to kill children. Children are small and weak compared to an adult. Maybe the solution to this problem in the US is to arm teachers, as many here have said. In Israel the teachers are armed, and this sort of thing doesn't happen.

Sadly the nut jobs don't always stand out but just suddenly happen. Sure isn't the world we knew as kids. Sad that this should happen anywhere. Sad also for what this guy did to his family as well as his victims.
And some folks wonder why we carry........
