The Ultimate Question,: What would YOU do If YOU got pulled over by a LEO?
Agreed, its BS. Let's be blunt, if whomever they are pulling over really wants them dead, chances are they will be.

I have to inform here when stopped. I've never had any issue with LEOs going paranoid on me when informing...never even had one ask to see the firearms. The few I've dealt with have always had some sort of comment such as: "glad you're carrying since you have your permit". No hands on their own guns or drill instructor tones. That probably wouldn't go well around here.
I can't see how any officer would feel that extra administrative handling of a holstered or secured firearm in the posession of a licensed carrier is making anyone more safe. Few LEOs are masters of their own firearms, and jacking around with a firearm he or she may not be familiar with is in my opinion much more dangerous than just leaving the gun(s) alone.
Only my opinion though. I'm not knocking any LEOs as I'm friends with some dang good ones. I just don't see where the need comes from for an officer to be handling anyone else's firearms. And, luckily for me, that is the opinion of most local departments.
