Friend's dad attacked

This is a discussion on Friend's dad attacked within the Carry & Defensive Scenarios forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; I think everyone ought to take some sort of "survival" training. Even if it is just the basics. Just to keep everyones awareness level up....

I've improved my confidence and abilities by taking Jujitsu lessons. It's amazing what you can do if you know WHAT to do.

I actually teach it as part of my CCW classes...for a bit extra. You'd be amazed at the calls I got after the last spate of hurricanes we got last year.

I took Jujuitsu (Hakko Ryu to be exact) a long time ago and had a knck for it, but I disliked the punching and kicking. I much prefer Aikido. Have used it a few times at work. Great because I can inflict exquisite pain and leave no marks. I also like it because I can control an attacking student without having to punch him. Great for the takedown. Steven Segal is a 7th Dan Aikido Master. He added punches later for Hollywood.
