For those that do not like the hard trigger pull on these revolvers I recommend installing he J-Frame Duty/Carry Kit is the next evolution of drop in parts from ATS, Inc. Installation of this kit reduces the trigger pull weight of your centerfire J-Frame* Smith & Wesson Revolver from over 12 lbs to 9lbs. The kit is reasonably priced. They have 2 links that show how to take off old and put on new. Took me about 20 minutes.
I installed this on my 642 and it made a huge difference in not only trigger pull but also a more smoother pull.
