I've seen this video, too. I believe it to be staged unless I can see some real proof of it (police report, news report, etc). Its interesting and does present a good "what if" scenario. I just have a difficult time wrapping my head around WHY the guy didn't floor his bimmer and out-run the guy? What about a cell phone? What about 500 other things this guy could have done to avoid clearing leather?

This one's been beat to death on most of the gun forums and the consensus is that it's staged by some Canadians pretending they're in Texas.

The blurred license tag sort of gives it away as staged. I think I would have just shot one of the truck tires and let it go at that. Good flic though.

There are a million things the driver could have done to avoid pulling gun. Cell phone, outrunning them, not flicking them off, pulling into a police station instead of dirt road. IMHO it looks staged.

staged and a waste . Just makes gun owners/ CCW holders look stupid, reckless and dangerous.

Thanks for the link. The more I watched it the more I suspected it was staged. Like others here said if it was me I would have driven to a more public area, police station etc.

yeah figured it was fake. (rich guys don't usually carry something that plain, usually a gold plated desert eagle) Especially when the driver sent his girlfriend unarmed over to the bad guy to take the camera from him. Lots of mistakes if this ever did happen, but if you forgot your cell and were lost to begin with, something like this could happen just because you have a nice car.
