    Most likely scenario...

I would consider the linked story a likely situation that people would find themselves in. However, you have to question the smarts of trying to hold up many people at the same time, with one gun, and given the extenuatiing circumstances....

This is such a positive result for cc, I hope that it gets wide media attention (but probably wont).

With so many people involved, there are SO many variables that I see this as a very fortunate outcome...took alot of timing and guts. I'd be curious to know the permit holder's background and training.

And just one more example where several (probably) well-placed shots did not instantly drop an assailant.
    Fortune favors the bold.

The thing about "defense" is that it has practically nothing to do with guns. (As passed on by CCW9MM)

I don't think the bad guy thought the situation through very well. Twenty or so people waiting in line to buy $150 sneakers, and you're betting your life that none of them are carrying? I think this guy might be given a Darwin Award posthumously.

It seems to me that whoever wrote that article thinks the hero deserves to be charged with something.

He would most likely have been safe to do so in New York, Chicago, Camden, or D.C.

I didn't see that there was another post talking about this particular incident, until just now.

At least this article mentioned the fact the BG pulled a gun. The article I read yesterday made it seem like the BG was just a poor derelict pickpocket and the GG shot him for trying to pick his pocket.

I "do" hate the fact that the author printed the owners full name and town he lives in. (To me, it obvious that the author is AG and is hoping for retaliation against the shooter.)

Watch the video and see what you think... it doesn't show the initial robbery, but the guy that shot him did so while he was running away.

Interesting video Brad. It doesn't appear the shooter was being victimized at the time he was shooting. Perhaps he was coming to the aide of another victim and the BG turned to run by. I can't tell from the video if the BG was still armed and was able to shoot while he was running past the shooter. (If the BG still had the ability to shoot people as he seemed to be fleeing, I can understand why the shooter isn't facing charges now.)

One thing for certain is this one can't be played by the press as a race based "Hate Crime" like Zimmerman/Martin.

    ETA:
As to this being the "Most Likely Scenario" as the thread title suggests?
