If that business would have had a no firearms sign the BG would have just have walked away and went somewhere else.

How can this have happened, there is a "No Guns" sign on the window? Oh wait, maybe the sign wasn't the right size, or didn't have the proper wording on it. Surely there can be no other reason the perps would have brought a gun into the establishment.

Maybe the owner could sue whoever printed the sign, since it provided no protection for him?

The bad guys must not have the same gun pictured in the sign so they probably thought it was OK to bring them in... Wasn't that a Beretta 92fs pictured?

That other restaurant owner needs to appreciate the simple truth: that by criminalizing his staff and customers, he's simply (a) clearing a path for violent criminals, as well as (b) notifying criminals beforehand that they have little to fear committing violence inside. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Hopefully he'll wake up, before he or someone else gets robbed or killed because of being so clearly and so publicly disarmed.

"So other owners are taking steps to protect themselves"

I wonder what those steps are. Maybe arming themselves? Nah, that can't be it. They're probably ordering bigger gun buster signs since the robbers apparently didn't see that one...

We might be able to get through to these people, if every time we see a "no gun" sign, we talk to the owner/manager and ask them to consider changing the sign to "no robberies". THAT sign will work much better and BGs will definitely honor management's request.

Once they see the ridiculousness of having a 'no robberies' sign, maybe they'll begin to understand that 'no gun' signs are meaningless.

Maybe the criminals were illiterate and did not understand what the sign meant.

Well, shop owners are certainly that ... to the point of not having the first clue of what such signs really mean. "Lunch," to the enterprising violent felon. Exactly so.
