I would really like to hear the rest of the story from this one but it sounds like it ended well.

It's a shame the store owner had to take one in the leg before getting the job done. I hope he has a quick and complete recovery.

That's what I was thinking. That is part of "the rest of the story" that I would like to hear.

This is the 11th defensive gun use we’ve documented in the state of Mississippi and the 1013th overall.
And yet the antis keep saying guns are never used defensively.

    Dead Man Walking.

Lots of these violent felons are ... and they just don't know it yet.

If only more of these deadly situations would end up like this: with the felon down and out. Better for the victims, and better for all of us, much as the deceased family is going to mourn the result. Don't want that result? Raise better kids.

I like justice being served quickly and done in a timely manner rather than support a dirt bag for several years so he can get out and do it again. I think Taylor got it right Never Ever.

Maybe he was coming back to apologize. He WAS just turning his life around.

Just kidding, of course. Good job by the owner. As they say, when in doubt, empty the magazine.

As times goes on, with more and more people taking up arms to ward off evil, I suspect more of these deadly situations will end up like this one. It's getting more dangerous by the day to be a felon.

    I always love happy endings.

Also I have to give the owner some props for some great shooting. After being shot your adrenaline would have to be flowing and to put that many rounds on the target means that he has been keeping up with his practice.

Or, maybe the thug was stupid, as evidenced by his return, and just stood there with a target on his chest.
I agree though, good shooting on the store clerk for dumping the rounds where they needed to be.
