Sadly, the good guys don't always win

I put this in the Scenario thread because we talk a lot about intervening. Some days the good guys win, sometimes they don't.

RIP Det. Estrada, may God give rest to your soul.

Wonder if the situation would have been different if he had already drawn his gun while running to their aid.

Can't imagine seeing such a situation and failing to draw immediately upon realizing I was choosing to come to aid. Can't imagine not attempting to find a decent path with some form of cover along the way, in case things went south in a hurry. But then, with my family under the gun, it'd be hard not to rush in. No telling exactly how it all played out, in this case, with so few details.

I believe it involving his daughter made him react totally different then if it would've been a stranger?

I hope if one day I die early of non-natural causes someone will be able to put "He died doing the right thing" on my grave marker. Det. Estrada earned that. May he rest in peace.

You can't put it better than that.
