Concealed carrier shoots shotgun weilding robber in restaurant

OK, this could probably go into "in the news" just as easily, but given all the recent scenarios about bad guys in restaurants, I thought this was relevant. The good guy was an off-duty cop.

Just cannot but feel that "bleeds it leads" feeling when I listened to the reporter. "Still waiting to find out how many shots were fired" is what she says--why is that important other than for more "bleeds it leads"? The sleaze gambled and lost--end of story--good riddance.

Officer did a good job. Of course leave it to the press to act stupid. "How many shots were fired?" "Will charges be filed?"

Sorry, but someone needs to slap that woman for being stupid!

Yep, she needs to be slapped several times but sometimes you can't fix stupid. It is an ongoing, active investigation and her questions are just impeding progress. That is why they will release info when they have it and are able to confirm facts.

Good for the Deputy hope he has no issues. Great for the taxpayers they don't have to house a scum bag while he refines his skills.

    How many shots were fired?

Apparently enough to get the job done.

Charges? The perp is dead no need to charge him. Hah!

Of course the good stories never make it past local tv and newspaper. the questionable cases get elevated to national media.

I think the "Reporter" also called the robber "a victim."???????? Excuse me, all the staff and patrons were the victims, not the robber.

Pat Rogers had a great story about "issues" after shooting a guy on the job (NYPD detective). After his second or third shooting, his command pulled him aside and suggested he take a couple of days off. Pat said "I thought to myself, hey, I get two days off for shooting a guy, do I get four days off if I shoot two guys?" <<< That was the extent of his "issues" with putting down a BG!

Can't know for sure until the mom weighs in to tell us what a good boy he was.

Where's the grieving mother asking 'why did he have to shoot my son; he was just robbing the place to pay for child support. He was a good son; he just fell into the wrong crowd. Actually, it was the twinkies... yes, that's it, the twinkies.'
