HIV threat ? What to do ?

This happened around the corner from my home , and it got me thinking , What do you do if someone is threatening to inject you with HIV ?

I also understand that the HIV virus will not live long outside the human body , So how could we know if the threat is real or not ?

HIV kills. I say take the threat as seriously as a knife attack.

Shoot the scumbag! ANYBODY coming at me with a needle - whether HIV positive OR NOT - is getting drilled in the chest!

    +1!

There's a lot of other stuff that will kill you if injected (most of it much faster and more reliably than HIV). Heck, even an injection of air can do the job. A syringe is a deadly weapon and anyone assaulting me will be treated as such.

I wouldn't wait to find out if it was hiv. Any one comming at me with a gun, screw driver, knife or needle is going to be shot. I don't like shooting or harming someone but I can make an exception.

+1. That is what it is, for all intents and purposes.

A needle is a weapon and has been ruled as such in court.

SInce I refuse to be cut with a knife while wearing a gun, why would it be any different with a needle ?

Cops have shot people that threatened them with "loaded" needles and they were ruled as "good" shoots.

Definately, HIV (and other bad stuff) lives long enough outside the body, especially if its containe in a syringe and not openly exposed to air. Even if you don't know what the person has, this is absolutely reasonable cause to feel your life is threatened.

Use heavy enough loads so that the fire ball kills any germs in the blood spray.

I would view that as a deadly threat.
