A few years ago, my boss fired a guy who was a highly trained sniper. My boss kept his blinds closed for years because he was afraid he'd be picked off while he sat at his desk...

The papers around here are VERY anti-gun... I could point all day long but they'd never publish a good article. I can imagine the headline "Two vigalantes nearly kill man in parking lot."
Gun Control means never having to say "I missed you."

In light of this, are you going to find anoter method of carry for the G27?

Pete - thank heavens you guys were armed - and of course the idiot did not decide to try a shooting spree even outside.

Goes to show, if any proof needed .... just how important it can be to have armed folks around. Classic situation in some ways - all controlled by presentation of equal potential force.

I know it might be good 2A press, but, I would definatly ask to remain nameless in the article. I can picture it. A nice picture on the front page... Joe Schmoe, a local concealed weapons permit holder, averted catastrophe today....

As with all statements I've made and All that I will make, please check your local laws to verify accuracy. (and if i'm wrong let me know as I like to be right in the future) After all I'm just some goofball posting on an internet forum.

So true. There is absolutely no way I'd allow the paper to publish my name or picture on this story.

I think I'll definitely be adding my G27 to my normal repertoire... even if just in my breifcase.

Not only did you help avert a potential disaster, but your actions and conduct positively reinforces what CCW is all about, and that helps us all

Well Done, Pete! From carrying your gun to keeping your head. Maybe send the police report to American Rifleman? and Rosie?

Now go home, lock your doors, put your gun away, and have a few cold ones.

The really sad part about this story is that it will never make the statistics, No one shot anyone or at anyone, so it will never be taken into fact when the anti's start their "Guns are evil" cry next time. Good job though, did you send this to the NRA?

Glad it turned out well for you Pete. Sounds like you kept a cool head and averted what could have been a real tragedy for your co-workers.

We have to force the issue in instances like this.

    Was this Wichita, by chance?

How'd it feel putting that little P3AT up against a shottie? Make you wish you'd carried a 1911 that day? I know that's how I would feel if I had the same issue and was wearing my "little" M642 Smith instead of my Sig P245. The 642 is strictly mugger medicine. I know I'll rue the day if ever I get mixed up in something like you handled (quite well, too!) and I've got a snubbie. A .380 would likely induce a post event coronary in me. What did the other manager have? Just out of curiosity? Did the BIG BOSSES get wind of this? How did THEY react?

All I can say is WELL DONE!!!
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.
