Fair Nuff Bark'n .... gotcha now!

It could be read more than one way - the problem we all share with making do with text - instead of sittin' round a table over a cold one

it is so amazing that people who defend themselves to protect their life, must then defend tehmselves again in court against people who think that we can always just call 911

what is this poor world coming to???

I know I would have done about the same, if presented in the same situation. Just hopefully had better shot placement.

Don't mean to, once again, preach to the choir, but this case emphasizes that "Castle Doctrine," "No Retreat" laws, and the like, DO NOT guarantee that you will not be prosecuted. Prosecutors can and, as we have seen, do elect to prosecute for reasons that have little, or anything, to do with the actual merits of the shooting. So, please all be very careful out there and use lethal force only as absolutely necessary.

This morning I contacted the Palm Beach County Public Defenders office by email addressed to the Chief of the Felony Division and advised them to contact Massad Ayoob to see if he would be willing to assist in the case.

Since this is Saturday, I haven't received a reply yet, but if I do, I will let you know what they say.

Obviously, the threat is still not over:
Within a day of the shooting and Borden's arrest, his home was set on fire. Borden has since received death threats, Haughwout said. His trial has generated extra security at the courthouse.

"This case smells of Mike Nifong and Johnny Sutton" Yep, Duke university all over again. Possibly racially motivated prosecution also, look at the names of the players. With racial tensions as high as they are, (and the Hispanic vote in the balance) nationwide, it wouldn't suprise me.
