Why were you allowing your CCW gun to show, then?
Does your method of carry need reassessment?
Seems unfair to panic people who are not comfortable seeing guns. I'm not saying I defend the sheeple, but if you're supposed to keep it concealed, and you take on that responsibility, you're supposed to do it.
Just being cognizant of one's surroundings is the 'giant step' that is so important...most people don't have a clue...
I would not have gone there unarmed...couldn't you keep your weapon in the car while visiting the school? I know that this is not always possible...depends upon the state!
I would have been watching for the angry man's return...I always sit with my back to the wall...ALWAYS!:yup:
Fair question. I'm not entirely sure how Kentucky law applies to CCW holders with regards to school property. I know you can't enter a building. Having a weapon on you while picking up children (not exiting the vehicle) is a gray area. Probably having it locked up in vehicle is okay.Quote:

I would never advise anyone to break the law nor would I ever be so foolish as to say that I would do so myself. That stated, as well as reasserting my status as what I believe to be a law abiding citizen, I have to ask how can the carrying of a firearm on school property be banned (in the sense of an effective ban that keeps weapons off the property and penalizes those who do carry) if they are not checking for weapons? In defense of Wendy's, the one I patronize has always very good service , the attitudes are very friendly for being kids and the only time they screwed up my order, they fixed it and gave me some extra goodies as comp.
One thing I HATE about this Wendy's is the location of the doors: too close to the counter. If SHTF unless you have a table right by the exit, you almost have to run a gaunlet to reach the door.

Have your weapon with you next time. When you get to school you can always lock it up in the car if you are not allowed to carry it in.:smile:
For good reason, I get VERY nervous then things like this happen. Some people aren't playing with a full deck!
Sice it was only running his mouth, I'd do nothing except observe him.
This is why we should eat at Taco Bell :danceban:. Ya can't tell if a taco is screwed up and, if it is, nobody cares :smile:
