    Or feral hogs. There are an estimated 2,000,000 feral hogs in Texas. Estimated 850,000 black bears in the lower 48. Hogs have bigger teeth if you count the tusks.

    buddy here in Ohio watched in awe as a pack of 'yotes took down a deer in his back yard...

    I'm in SW Ohio too. They are getting more and more numerous around here. I've seen a few now this year that became road kill.

    you don't need a ccw to carry on private land, with the owner's permission, open or not.

    A few years ago I caught a coyote stalking me while hunting with my long bow. I had sprayed mt boots with coon urine and I think he trhought he was following an incontinent racoon. IHe was a very unusual redish color but took off as soon as he saw me. We do have a cougar that my daughter and son-in-law saw while setting up deer stands this year. I told her to carry her Kel-Tec in her hand on the way to her stand from now on.
