I don't have kids myself, but if someone attempted to abduct my nephews and one niece in my presence, I would not hesitate to drop the perp with a few 124 gr. HSTs from my Glock 19. I do believe Alaska gives the green light for the use of deadly force to prevent kidnapping.
Actually, in Florida, the charge would be shooting into an occupied vehicle (F.S. 790.19), which is a felony of the second degree and carries a penalty of imprisonment not to exceed 15 years.

I hve said this before and will say it again that I don't shive a git what the laws are or what is legal or illegal when it comes to someone abducting a child or protecting myself or family. If you are worrying about whether it is legal to shoot someone then you don't need to be shooting them, it is morally wrong.

BTW...thats what a jury of your peers is for... Pretty easy to find 12 people that would say "Yes, might be technical illegal (in my state) but I'd do the same thing to protect MY child." I'd rather be judged by 12 then barried by 6 comes to mind. I could add to that saying I'd rather be judged by 12 then barried by 6 or live with myself for NOT acting to protect a loved one.
Thank God that THAT scenario is very unlikely to happen to any of us.
Yes for my granddaughter.
I have a 3 y/o boy and a 7 y/o girl...
Law? What law? Nothing in this world overrides my right as a father to protect my children... nothing decided by another individual or group of individuals can change that...
I wouldn't even consider the law or ramifications of breaking it...
